A cause for celebration

Sometimes, like a familiar friend, people tend to take things for granted. And we′re just a guilty as anyone else. But something like a move to new premises can make you take another look at what you really have - and provide anopportunity to make some changes.

While the Wine Society has always been a great thing to be part of - now we think it′s even better!

• New look website

  What a total transformation, not only is the site gorgeous, packed with information about the great drop and bursting with fabulous value wines it′s also even easier to use.

• New look magazine

  It′s packed full of great wine offers and interesting reading. Every month we′ll bring you great seasonal features, explore new wine regions and varieties, highlight unique boutique producers, bring you Wine Society exclusive offers and discuss trends and issues within the industry. And that′s in addition to all our regular features.

• The newest cellar in town

  Our Members′ Only retail showroom and blueprint for our retail outlets for the future. The perfect place to browse our extensive range or try something new - the Cellar Team look forward to meeting you.

• Our new home

  If you live in Sydney or are planning a visit, you′re in for a treat. Our new premises have been designed to provide our Members with fantastic facilities for tasting, trying, entertaining or just dropping in for a chat. The purpose-built Vintec-Transtherm Tasting Room has been designed to provide the best possible environment for tasting, trying and comparing all kinds of wine in a relaxed atmosphere. It′s great for our Events and Education team and could be the ideal place for your next cocktail party.

• Same great events

  Did you know we hold over 150 Wine Society events for Members and friends every year right around the country? They range from tastings to winemaker dinners to our fantastic Young Winemaker of the Year dinner and they happen everywhere from Launceston to Darwin and Gosford to Kununurra.

• The best education in the industry (we hope you agree)

  Have you sampled our acclaimed Wine Education programme yet? It′s for everyone from beginners to Wine Masters and features day courses to 5 week courses, giving you heaps of wine knowledge (and the chance to taste some great drops!). There′s masterclasses on your favourite wines to tasting evenings featuring stunning wines and delectable cheeses - yum! Bring your friends, the in-laws or come alone - just make sure you don′t miss out.

• So when we looked closely at everything we do as a Society, we were pretty pleased. It doesn′t mean we won′t continue to look for new ways to add value to your membership - we will. But we do think it′s a reason to celebrate!
