Tasting Note
This is a wine from Monbazillac which has its own Appellation and produces sweet wines which have potential to age. It is located just south of Bergerac. The varieties are Semillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle and are botrytis infected. The wine is yellow in colour with good intensity. It has lifted aromas of honey and apricot with a hint of orange peel. The palate is luscious with great fruit flavours adding to the complexity. A balanced acidity ensures that the wine finishes clean and allows the flavours to dominate and not the sweetness. 'Smell the honey, apricot and a hint of orange peel. A luscious wine with great fruit flavours adding to the complexity. With a balanced acidity, the wine finishes clean and allows the flavours to dominate (and not the sweetness).' Ian Walsh, Trading Manager. Also available by the case:
