The mission of The Wine Society’s Education Program is to provide the answers to all the questions about wine worth asking. Accessible to everyone, our courses are designed to educate in a fun and relaxed environment.
Introduction to Wine (Levels 1 & 2)
Level 1: Our most popular wine education course, aimed at broadening your wine knowledge beyond the basics, we will help you develop your palate, assess a wine’s quality and its cellaring potential and of course, learn the art of wine appreciation.
Level 2: A more technical education course, which examines the art and science of wine. Tasting Australia’s favourite styles against their international benchmarks and familiarising yourself with the nuances of wine, this course is designed for those with an intermediate level of wine knowledge.
(Level 1 attendance is recommended before attending Level 2, however it is not mandatory).
Total of 8 hours (1 day course or over 4 weeks)
Cost: Level 1 - Members $200, Non-Members $220; Level 2 - Members $250, Non-Members $270.
$20 Discount for Level 1 Graduates who enrol in Level 2

Masterclasses
Refine your wine knowledge on specific wine topics ranging from the effect of the glass shape, the art of blending and why duck is so perfectly matched with Pinot noir. Further develop your passion for all things wine and enjoy one of these special education courses.
