With all the wines we offer having passed an extremely tough Tasting Panel, it’s never a surprise to see them recognised by Australia’s premier critic. But it’s always nice nonetheless. Each of these featured drops has earned a minimum of 90 points from James Halliday.
A well-balanced blend of 67% Shiraz and 33% Grenache. Fragrant aromas of plum, strawberry and spice follow onto palate of intense bright fruit expression with hints of pepper and spice. French oak and fine tannins provide structure and elegance.

If you enjoy a full-bodied Shiraz you will enjoy this wine! Intense plum and dark fruit flavours on the nose and palate. Time in new and used American oak has created silky mocha and chocolate characters which appear on the mid-palate while firm tannins complete the structure. A bold wine with excellent length and depth of flavour.

“The colour isn’t particularly deep, but the hue is bright. The wine, too, is fresher and more lively than those of yore. The flavours span blackberry, plum and cherry, the tannins ripe and balanced in a medium-bodied palate. Large oak vats and smaller French and American barrels were used in maturation.” Halliday Wine Companion

"It’s a substantial red wine with fruit – rather than oak – to the fore. It’s a pure expression of shiraz in a Barossa landscape. It tastes of coal and blackberry jam, campfire and cloves, but it’s that hearty hit of blackberried – tinged with raspberry – fruit that really characterises it. It's a faultless Shiraz, from all angles." Campbell Mattinson

French inspired and with the lightness of touch that those words imply, this GSM is fruity, spicy and earthy all at once. Elegant but no shortage of flavour.
Item Code: ITM6574
Blackcurrant, eucalypt and a touch of capsicum and leafy tobacco on the nose. The ripe palate is supported by dusty tannins providing good texture and complexity.
Item Code: ITM21661
"Sparks of spice and a core of red-black fruit. This drinks well. Anise, cloves, briar and black cherry with a whisper of smoky reduction but no more than that. Fruit-driven but with a savoury side. Firm through the finish. Not a big wine but a wine of balance and style. Pretty keen buying." Campbell Mattinson
Item Code: ITM21909
"64% savagnin, 18% viognier, 12% gewurztraminer and 6% sauvignon blanc, fermented in used oak, matured for 6 months with occasional lees stirring. This is truly a tour de force by Stuart Pym. It should have ended up in a flavour dead end, with phenolics everywhere, the varieties shading each other out, yet it is full of fruit, yet crisp and crunchy, the finish fresh. 235 dozen made." Halliday Wine Companion

Pear, lemon and floral aromas on the nose open up to reveal a crisp, refreshing palate. A mix of stonefruit and citrus combines with vibrant natural acidity to create a versatile cool-climate Chardonnay.
Item Code: ITM6827
"Plump, succulent and floral thing, with a brown spices, blackberries and assorted stonefruits. Medium to full bodied, a slight meatiness, but pretty much a silky and approachable Barossa Shiraz that slips down pretty nicely." Gary Walsh
Item Code: ITM15541
"Deep crimson-purple; the brooding black fruits, licorice, spice and graphite of the bouquet speak truly of the intense, yet elegant, medium to full-bodied palate. The tannins are fine, the oak a servant, the finish long and impeccably balanced." Halliday Wine Companion
Item Code: ITM6602
"Oozing all the charm of Clare Valley starting with its dark purple hue, its fragrance of Chinese five spice, graphite and menthol with tangy black plums, currants and tart tamarind-acidity. The well-composed palate incorporates finely-chiselled savoury tannins and plenty of joy in between." Halliday Wine Companion
Item Code: ITM20301
The cool-climate of the Yarra Valley allows Chandon to produce Chardon fruit, which is of consistently high quality. Enticing aromas of white flowers, grapefruit and stone fruit aromas. The palate is delicate with notes on fresh pear and apple balanced by zesty acidity and exceptional length.
Item Code: ITM5038
"A good sangiovese that has repaid the complex vinification, first up with a fragrant rose petal/cherry blossom bouquet, the palate in a state of flux as savoury notes come and go, sour and fresh cherries playing hide and seek." Halliday Wine Companion
Item Code: ITM22354
"Hand-picked, co-fermented with 2% viognier, no whole bunches this vintage, matured in French puncheons (25% new) for 15 months. An interesting follow-on to the '15, the latter giving rise to many very good wines. The '16 takes its time in asserting its character and quality, which it does so handsomely on the back-palate and finish. Here spicy, savoury notes are allied with terrific tannins, fine, yet persistent." Halliday Wine Companion
Item Code: ITM18615
A beautifully balanced wine with lifted white peach and nectarine aromas. The palate displays apple, lime and stone fruit along with spicy vanillin oak nuances.
Item Code: ITM3568
"Light, bright yellow colour with a very fresh, refined, intense, restrained but complex bouquet, which doesn't rely on oak or artifact for its detail. The wine is fruit-led and quietly intense, with lovely refinement and subtle depths. There are understated nuances here, which will only become more interesting with a little more time. Lots of lemon and other citrus nuances. A lovely wine which I'd like to drink now, but it has potential to improve further. This is outstanding value." Huon Hooke
Item Code: ITM18748
At first, tight and compact in structure but time in the glass reveals a fragrant nose of dark fruit and violets. The palate displays rich flavours of cassis, blueberry with well-integrated spice. Rich, smooth tannins provide structure and balance and leads to a long, lively finish.
Item Code: ITM7606
"Uses 35% whole bunches on the bottom of the fermenter, 2% viognier skins on top of the whole bunches, then 63% crushed/destemmed on top, left alone to ferment naturally until 2% baume left, then pigeaged, 3 weeks on skins in total, matured in new and used French oak for 18 months. This approach, coupled with 13.5% alcohol, results in a vibrantly fresh, fragrant and lively wine bursting with cherry fruit, spice and pepper. Now the journey in the bottle begins." Halliday Wine Companion

“Fighting Gully Road is a winery to watch over the next few years. Winemaking is on another level with their wines scoring higher than any
other range we have seen this year. This Chardonnay was the highest scoring wine through a number of tasting panels.” Johan Axlund, Wine Buyer

Aromas of violets and glazed cherries are supported by hints of cedar, cassis and forest floor. The palate enters with fine-grained tannins and is followed by notes of bright raspberries and mulberries. A wonderful expression of Margaret River Cabernet from an exceptional vintage.

A beautifully expressive Single Vineyard Eden Valley Shiraz showing bright and youthful aromas of mulberry, cocoa and dark pepper with a touch of eucalypt all wound up in blanket of beautifully integrated oak. Item Code: ITM15302
Medium bodied and tightly wound with fine layers of oak overlaying dark and ripe Cabernet fruits. It is clearly varietal with finely polished, persistent tannins and savoury fruit sweetness on the finish. A classical Margaret River Cabernet that will reward cellaring.
Item Code: ITM7612
A mature, praline nose with apple notes and leesy characters. The palate is savoury and fresh, with plenty of vibrant acidity, despite its years. Its a well-rounded wine, with plenty of layers, and a long, lingering finish. Excellent.
Item Code: ITM21765
"It’s pure Margaret River. Gravel and blackcurrant, bay and cream. It rumbles and grumbles, as it seduces. There’s perfume aplenty, texture too, sets of tannin and a long filigreed finish. Reduction, toast, choc-mint, florals, black olives; all make appearances here. The cellar beckons." Campbell Mattinson
