Riesling probably has its origins in Germany, on the banks of the Rhine and Mosel rivers, where it has been cultivated at least as far back as 1435. Alsace in north eastern France is Riesling’s other traditional home. Today, Australia can lay claim to some of the finest Rieslings in the world, with the Clare Valley, Eden Valley and Tasmania earning particular global acclaim.
"It’s a frisky white with attitude. It has some texture, some spice, a wet slate character and the punch of red apples. It’s dry and well honed but it feels generous. It works." Cambell Mattinson

“A delightful wine. Textural, laden with flavour, long through the finish and delicious every step of the way. It packs a real flavour punch but it steps lightly; it feels soft. Sweet lime, talc, rose petals, orange blossoms. Quite an exotic thing, it is. It will age but it’s a ripper drink right now.”
