In his own words, Michael Hall is “not from a dynastic wine family or long Barossan heritage”. He grew up in England and had a career in jewellery valuation in Europe before taking a leap into the unknown and following his passion for wine. That passion brought him to Australia and to Charles Sturt University, where he studied Wine Science.
Releasing his first Michael Hall wines in 2008, he has forged strong relationships with top grape growers, allowing him to source fruit from diverse terroirs across the Barossa Valley, Eden Valley and Adelaide Hills. His winemaking approach is one of minimal intervention, gently encouraging the fruit to express itself and its terroir to the fullest, avoiding unnecessary inputs that mould the fruit to a particular style.
Evoking the elegance of European styles and the flavours you know and love from the regions, these wines catching the eyes of critics and earning Michael Hall the prestigious five red-star rating in the Halliday Wine Companion.
Normally his wines are only available at top restaurants but he’s made an exception for you. Elegant wines of outstanding quality and character, don’t miss out on your chance to add these gems to your cellar.
