Cabernet Sauvignon’s spiritual home, and perhaps its true origin, is in Bordeaux, where it tends to be blended with other varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Australian Cab Savs are commonly made as single varietal wines, with Coonawarra and Margaret River heading most wine lovers’ lists of Cabernet regions.
A lifted nose of black cherry, rhubarb, cedar and chocolate leads onto a rich mouth-filling palate. Juicy fruits characters are tempered with firm tannins. A moreish wine.
