Cabernet Sauvignon’s spiritual home, and perhaps its true origin, is in Bordeaux, where it tends to be blended with other varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Australian Cab Savs are commonly made as single varietal wines, with Coonawarra and Margaret River heading most wine lovers’ lists of Cabernet regions.
Deep red in colour with ripe mulberry and blackcurrant aromas. The palate displays flavours of dark fruits intertwined with dark chocolate oak. Soft mouth-coating tannins create excellent balance.
