Cabernet Sauvignon’s spiritual home, and perhaps its true origin, is in Bordeaux, where it tends to be blended with other varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Australian Cab Savs are commonly made as single varietal wines, with Coonawarra and Margaret River heading most wine lovers’ lists of Cabernet regions.
Punchy aromas of blackberry, plum, liquorice and bay leaves on the nose. Expressive with plenty of depth and weight on the palate with soft black fruits with lashings of chocolate. Gentle oak and fine tannins lead to a long finish.
