One of the most widely planted grapes in the world, Grenache thrives in the hot dry climates of France’s Rhône Valley and in Spain, where it is known as Garnacha. Unsurprisingly, it has also proved a success in Australia’s warmer wine regions. It is often blended with Shiraz and Mourvèdre to make robust ‘Rhône blend’ wines.
"Silky smooth and delectable, the wine displays lifted aromas of blueberry, plum jelly, cocoa, cedar and pepper spice on the nose, followed by succulent palate that is beautifully fruited and rounded. The wine is immediate and comforting, and offers generosity and complexity." Sam Kim
