Pinot Noir is best known for the light- to medium-bodied reds of regions such as Burgundy and Central Otago (and, in Australia, Tasmania and Adelaide Hills). It also forms part of the classic Champagne blend and is a key contributor to many of the best sparklings. Pinot makes excellent rosés too, with the variety’s delicate charms perfectly suiting this lighter style.
"Light in colour but there’s plenty going on. It’s a meaty, spicy pinot. Cherries are the backdrop, or the conduit, with woody spices flying hither and thither. Tangy finish, complete with mint and anise notes. It’s a most enjoyable wine to drink, it has to be said." Campbell Mattinson

Lifted black cherry aromas with hints of savoury spice follow onto the palate where fresh black fruits and spice are supported by soft acidity. A light, supple texture from time in French oak adds depth.

"Light in colour, but not in energy or drive. Complex spicy foresty notes intermingle with wild strawberry and red cherry aromatics across the bouquet and palate alike, fine, savoury tannins, red fruits and spices in an articulate discussion with no single winner. A lovely pinot." Halliday Wine Companion

"Stylish, complex and engaging, the bouquet shows ripe berry, spiced plum, game and earthy mushroom characters with a touch of dried herb note. It is beautifully weighted and attractively fruited on the palate, delivering fine texture and seductive savoury undertones, elegantly framed by polished tannins. At its best: now to 2020." Sam Kim

Delicacy and structure combined in the way only a good Pinot can. Intoxicating cherry and smoked meat aromas lead to cranberry tartness on the palate and plentiful fine tannins.
Item Code: ITM6836
Perfumed bouquet of red and dark fruits, spice and earthy characters continue on the palate. Fine tannins create a well-structured wine of complexity and persistence. An elegant and expressive Pinot.
Item Code: ITM6087
Fragrant aromas of dark cherry, spice and savoury earthy notes on the nose that continue onto the palate. A brooding style of Pinot with silky tannins for a well-balanced and lengthy finish.
Item Code: ITM7604
"Sapid, cool and tangy red fruit, etched with the sort of fine-grained tannic composure and pulsing acidity, seldom seen outside of Burgundy. The oak sits in there somewhere, perfectly integrated. Like berries bursting through the mouth. The sweetness is detectable, yet never trop. A north-facing site, embedded with a soprano personality." Halliday Wine Companion
Item Code: ITM7817
Ripe red fruits and earthy spice on the nose lead into a luscious palate full of cherries and strawberries, which are backed by notes of truffle and spice. Fine savoury tannins create excellent length and lead into a good dry finish.
Item Code: ITM2467
Earthy characters combine with delicate notes of strawberry, cherry and nuances of oak to create a lovely wine of freshness and length. Drinking beautifully now but will reward with careful cellaring.
Item Code: ITM5374
"[it's] perfumed and has more sweetness to its fruit than many of its vintage brethren. You could almost drink this young and get the full experience though it will benefit greatly given time to soften and evolve. Forest berries, spice, cool garden herbs, mineral and a kiss of sweet/cedary/smoky oak. The fruit feels silken, the tannin feels gruff, but they’re not at odds, they’re managing to get along. It’s going places, this pinot noir." Campbell Mattinson
