Pinot Noir is best known for the light- to medium-bodied reds of regions such as Burgundy and Central Otago (and, in Australia, Tasmania and Adelaide Hills). It also forms part of the classic Champagne blend and is a key contributor to many of the best sparklings. Pinot makes excellent rosés too, with the variety’s delicate charms perfectly suiting this lighter style.
Ripe red fruits and earthy spice on the nose lead into a luscious palate full of cherries and strawberries, which are backed by notes of truffle and spice. Fine savoury tannins create excellent length and lead into a good dry finish.
