Pinot Noir is best known for the light- to medium-bodied reds of regions such as Burgundy and Central Otago (and, in Australia, Tasmania and Adelaide Hills). It also forms part of the classic Champagne blend and is a key contributor to many of the best sparklings. Pinot makes excellent rosés too, with the variety’s delicate charms perfectly suiting this lighter style.
Juicy, generous and savoury with flavours of cheery, spice, chocolate and smoky oak. Excellent textural mouth-feel with good weight and bright acidity.
