Pinot Noir is best known for the light- to medium-bodied reds of regions such as Burgundy and Central Otago (and, in Australia, Tasmania and Adelaide Hills). It also forms part of the classic Champagne blend and is a key contributor to many of the best sparklings. Pinot makes excellent rosés too, with the variety’s delicate charms perfectly suiting this lighter style.
Cherry, plum and earthy forest floor aromas lead onto a medium-bodied palate where a long line of acidity adds freshness and balance. Gentle tannins frame the wine and lead to a persistent finish. A stunning example of a fine Tassie Pinot with a great future ahead of it.
