Pinot Noir is best known for the light- to medium-bodied reds of regions such as Burgundy and Central Otago (and, in Australia, Tasmania and Adelaide Hills). It also forms part of the classic Champagne blend and is a key contributor to many of the best sparklings. Pinot makes excellent rosés too, with the variety’s delicate charms perfectly suiting this lighter style.
A thought provoking Pinot Noir. Aromas of rose, rosemary and ripe cranberry follow onto the palate. Supported by firm tannins and French oak characters, it is a wine of elegance, complexity and sheer drinkability.

This is a fine example of a premium Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir. There are pretty aromas of dark cherry and rhubarb, while the palate is silky smooth with pristine flavours of strawberry, plum and berry, and a touch of spice.

“Parcels of all five clones grown on the estate passed the strict selection process, the wine matured in French oak (33% new). The bouquet is very fragrant and no less complex with its exploration of wild strawberries picked before full ripeness, the full box of exotic spices, and fine but unrelenting tannins. Not an easy vintage for pinot noir, but this is seriously good.” Halliday Wine Companion
