Pinot Noir is best known for the light- to medium-bodied reds of regions such as Burgundy and Central Otago (and, in Australia, Tasmania and Adelaide Hills). It also forms part of the classic Champagne blend and is a key contributor to many of the best sparklings. Pinot makes excellent rosés too, with the variety’s delicate charms perfectly suiting this lighter style.
"Here’s a fine, savoury and crunchy Pinot Noir. Cherry, spice, some smoky reduction and autumn leaves kind of gear. Gentle lick of tannin, pleasing sappiness, and a red fruited finish of fair length, some peel-like bitterness in the aftertaste. Good value on offer here." Gary Walsh

"Takes a little time to wind up and get into gear, but having done so offers a very complex bouquet of plums and baker's spices, the palate gaining length and purpose each time I came back to it, although the flavour spectrum didn't crumble." Halliday Wine Companion
Item Code: ITM20293
Bright red fruits on the nose that open up onto a palate of raspberry, dark cherry and hints of savoury spices. Medium-bodied with soft tannins gives a fine acid structure to a long finish.

"Wild yeast open-fermented with 20% whole bunches, matured for 7 months in French oak (10% new), gravity bottled. Very good colour; the intensity of the aromas and flavours unfolding with the first sip stop you in your tracks. The whole bunch component is evident, but not dominant, simply one of many factors in shaping the flavour and texture of this lovely wine." Halliday Wine Companion
Item Code: OLG317324
Delicacy and structure combined in the way only a good Pinot can. Intoxicating cherry and smoked meat aromas lead to cranberry tartness on the palate and plentiful fine tannins.

"[it's] perfumed and has more sweetness to its fruit than many of its vintage brethren. You could almost drink this young and get the full experience though it will benefit greatly given time to soften and evolve. Forest berries, spice, cool garden herbs, mineral and a kiss of sweet/cedary/smoky oak. The fruit feels silken, the tannin feels gruff, but they’re not at odds, they’re managing to get along. It’s going places, this pinot noir." Campbell Mattinson
