Shiraz is Australia’s favourite variety, and its big, bold and full-bodied reds from regions such as the Barossa Valley have helped put Australia on the world wine map. Its spiritual home though is France’s Rhône Valley, where it is known as Syrah and produces wines typically lighter in body and alcohol. Sometimes Australian Shiraz is labelled as Syrah to indicate its specific style.

Woods Crampton White Label Shiraz 2016

"It’s a little cloudy, but has great colour. Spice, boysenberry, almost a gin botanicals perfume too, brown bread and chocolate wrappers. Medium bodied, fresh and perky, bright crushed berry flavour and spice, beautiful lightly furry tannin, settled acidity, and an aromatic and commanding finish of fine length. This has drinkability, value and complexity all sewn up. Strong recommendation." Gary Walsh

Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz 2012
x 1  x 1  Six Pack

This limited release Shiraz boasts complex aromas of plum, blackcurrant, dark chocolate and clove. A pool of black berry fruits immerse the palate, which is made more complex by gentle waves of mocha, liquorice and black pepper. The oak is balanced and welcoming, and the tannins persistent. A simply beautiful wine.
