Shiraz is Australia’s favourite variety, and its big, bold and full-bodied reds from regions such as the Barossa Valley have helped put Australia on the world wine map. Its spiritual home though is France’s Rhône Valley, where it is known as Syrah and produces wines typically lighter in body and alcohol. Sometimes Australian Shiraz is labelled as Syrah to indicate its specific style.
A perfumed nose of violet and spicy red fruit, opens up onto a silky palate of juicy red fruit interwoven with spicy oak and long, gentle tannins. A wine of good depth and balance.

“Has that distinct regional mulberry/blueberry fruit vibe, squishy in the palate (though silky too!), sweet spiced, fine in tannin, wildly fragrant. Lots to sink one’s teeth into. Yummo … Good wine this, carrying on the young legacy, so to speak.” Mike Bennie
