Shiraz is Australia’s favourite variety, and its big, bold and full-bodied reds from regions such as the Barossa Valley have helped put Australia on the world wine map. Its spiritual home though is France’s Rhône Valley, where it is known as Syrah and produces wines typically lighter in body and alcohol. Sometimes Australian Shiraz is labelled as Syrah to indicate its specific style.
The wine shows concentrated aromas of dark fruits and spice. On the palate there is a similar intensity with plum and blackberry characters enhanced by chocolate and black pepper spice. A really well-balanced and rewarding Shiraz.

"Deep crimson-purple; the brooding black fruits, licorice, spice and graphite of the bouquet speak truly of the intense, yet elegant, medium to full-bodied palate. The tannins are fine, the oak a servant, the finish long and impeccably balanced." Halliday Wine Companion
