Chardonnay is one of the world’s most popular grape varieties; originally from France’s Burgundy region, today it is planted almost anywhere that wine is produced. Chardonnay has a relatively neutral flavour profile, which allows winemakers to use a variety of skills and techniques to create a wide range of styles from taut and linear to rich and buttery.
Intense stonefruit and melon on the nose with subtle honeyed notes which continue onto the palate intertwined with nutty oak. Bright citrus acidity adds structure and balance. An outstanding Chardonnay of quality that far over reaches the price.

"Small batch-fermented in French oak (18.5% new) on lees for 7 months with light battonage. The combination of high quality cool grown grapes and sensitive winemaking has produced this lovely chardonnay, the first release of a chardonnay in the Senses range. Delicacy teams with intensity (an oxymoron if ever there was one), grapefruit, white peach and nectarine the drivers, not the oak." Halliday Wine Companion

A modern expression of Margaret River Chardonnay with notes of citrus and flint on the nose. The palate is layered with ripe stonefruit intertwined with understated oak characters, which combines with a good mineral drive to create lovely complexity.
