Chardonnay is one of the world’s most popular grape varieties; originally from France’s Burgundy region, today it is planted almost anywhere that wine is produced. Chardonnay has a relatively neutral flavour profile, which allows winemakers to use a variety of skills and techniques to create a wide range of styles from taut and linear to rich and buttery.
“Aromas of bright citrus, lemon and oyster shell with a touch of minerality on the palate, where rich characters of fig and white nectarine lead into a lemon sherbet acid tingle on the finish. A powerful yet restrained wine.” Winemaker Jason Brown

“A very well made wine with high quality grapes the cornerstone. There is a purity to the white peach, nectarine and citrus flavours, oak an essential means to the end, but not of particular significance in the flavour profile. Great value. ” Halliday Wine Companion

This contemporary Chardonnay is fresh, crisp and lively with just enough textural complexity from lees stirring. The wine was hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed before taking to some barrel fermentation in French oak. The result is a refined wine of flavour and finesse.
