With all the wines we offer having passed an extremely tough Tasting Panel, it’s never a surprise to see them recognised by Australia’s premier critic. But it’s always nice nonetheless. Each of these featured drops has earned a minimum of 90 points from James Halliday.

"Light, bright yellow colour with a very fresh, refined, intense, restrained but complex bouquet, which doesn't rely on oak or artifact for its detail. The wine is fruit-led and quietly intense, with lovely refinement and subtle depths. There are understated nuances here, which will only become more interesting with a little more time. Lots of lemon and other citrus nuances. A lovely wine which I'd like to drink now, but it has potential to improve further. This is outstanding value." Huon Hooke

other range we have seen this year. This Chardonnay was the highest scoring wine through a number of tasting panels.” Johan Axlund, Wine Buyer

Halliday's Top 100 Wines 2018
"Parisian almond, lemon rind, grapefruit juice, faint wet slate notes. Saline tang to acidity, some light creaminess of savoury nuttiness though the mainstay is a core of blisteringly fresh tart fruit flavour underlying. Incredible velocity and freshness, character, complexity, nerviness. Beautiful, super thing." Mike Bennie
Item Code: ITM14495
"Ripe apple, lemon curd, scents of faint, wet stones. Palate is ample, juicy, almost fleshy but for the licks of minerally tartness of acidity. Has some white chocolate notes, almost the texture of just melted chocolate bar, soft and long, stains the palate gently, the finish perky and fresh. It’s one of those lip-licking, moreish chardonnays, and will be hard to put down. Yep." Mike Bennie

"The 'lucky' 7th vintage, whole-bunch pressed, fermented in French barriques (50% new), 100% mlf, matured for 18 months. The brilliant straw-green hue says there's something special here, for it's incredibly detailed, precise and balanced, the three spears of perfect varietal fruit, high quality oak and acidity all unsheathed, but not required to be thrown. Only 88 dozen made." Halliday Wine Companion

“Its quality is bell clear. It’s almost rich, almost elegant, not especially
complex but not simple either. Oak and fruit form a happy marriage before
striding out to a refreshing, confident finish. It’s a beautiful chardonnay.” Halliday Wine Companion
