On its own or as part of a blend, Sauvignon Blanc is fully established as one of the most popular grape varieties of all. As a single varietal wine its spiritual home is France’s Loire Valley, but it is in New Zealand’s Marlborough region that it has become a global phenomenon. In Bordeaux, it is traditionally blended with Semillon, a style that has been emulated with great success in Western Australia.
Lifted passionfruit, kiwi and citrus on the nose with hints of herbaceous notes. The palate is vibrant and refreshing with flavours of lime zest, green apple and passionfruit. Crisp acidity add structure and balance, leading to a delicate, lengthy finish.
