Pale straw in colour with a delicate, tight minerally nose that opens beautifully to reveal lovely aromas of white peach. The palate is surprisingly full-bodied, fresh and rich yet crunchy, while the finish is quite textural and long, with an appealing acid line. A wine that will age gracefully and evolve into a Meursault-style Chardonnay.

"Peglidis presents itself as a wine of intensity and depth with complex flavours that are quite savoury in outlook. Coriander seeds, lemon salt, aspirin and wet slate. Of course, there's excellent fruit and acid balance, both key to its vibrancy, detail and potential age-worthiness. On song."Halliday Wine Companion

Halliday's Top 100 Wines 2018
"Parisian almond, lemon rind, grapefruit juice, faint wet slate notes. Saline tang to acidity, some light creaminess of savoury nuttiness though the mainstay is a core of blisteringly fresh tart fruit flavour underlying. Incredible velocity and freshness, character, complexity, nerviness. Beautiful, super thing." Mike Bennie
Item Code: ITM14495
"Ripe apple, lemon curd, scents of faint, wet stones. Palate is ample, juicy, almost fleshy but for the licks of minerally tartness of acidity. Has some white chocolate notes, almost the texture of just melted chocolate bar, soft and long, stains the palate gently, the finish perky and fresh. It’s one of those lip-licking, moreish chardonnays, and will be hard to put down. Yep." Mike Bennie

"The 'lucky' 7th vintage, whole-bunch pressed, fermented in French barriques (50% new), 100% mlf, matured for 18 months. The brilliant straw-green hue says there's something special here, for it's incredibly detailed, precise and balanced, the three spears of perfect varietal fruit, high quality oak and acidity all unsheathed, but not required to be thrown. Only 88 dozen made." Halliday Wine Companion

“Its quality is bell clear. It’s almost rich, almost elegant, not especially
complex but not simple either. Oak and fruit form a happy marriage before
striding out to a refreshing, confident finish. It’s a beautiful chardonnay.” Halliday Wine Companion

"As if by alchemy, with age semillon slips into a toasty, butter brioche, lime-marmalade and waxy realm without its acidity wavering. This certainly has freshness and plenty of years ahead of it, but that magical 5-years-before-release-date includes all the other complex stuff." Halliday Wine Companion

“Very light colour. A shy, reserved and youthfully straightforward minerally
bouquet, which is nevertheless clean and fresh. The palate is also reserved and tight, also clean, intense and refined, with some nutty lees and oak subtleties, and a very long, intense aftertaste. Refined and pure. A lovely wine with a future.” Huon Hooke

Its colour changes over the years from the brightness of dawn to the darkness of dusk, and from shimmering straw yellow to golden-brown with amber and caramel highlights, and then to mahogany.
