Made by Zonte's Footstep in collaboration with The Wine Society, the Zonte's Footstep Honey Sublime Sauvignon Blanc 2017 captures the character of the Adelaide Hills, in a modern fumé style.
"This wine is inspired by fantastic Loire Pouilly-Fumé with its expressive mineralilty and lifted green apple and plum fragrance. It has notes of lime curd found in both flavour and aroma, with hints of honeysuckle. A small portion has been matured in well-seasoned oak to give complexity and texture with the signature 'oyster shell' minerality that Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc possesses." Brad Rey, Vigneron
Made by Glaetzer Wines in collaboration with The Wine Society, the Penumbra Shiraz 2015 is all about flavour, elegance and class.
"The 2015 Barossa vintage yielded small parcels of extraordinary quality. The results can be tasted in the Penumbra Shiraz. It is rich yet elegant, with flavours of dark berries, plum and cassis complemented by notes of liquorice and lifted spice." Winemaker Colin Glaetzer
This premier wine is the result of a collaboration between The Wine Society and Abbey Vale. The wine was hand-crafted by Julian Langworthy, who was recently crowned with the Jimmy Watson trophy.
"This is a supremely drinkable wine that showcases the structure and poise for which Margaret River is renowned. Aromas of bitter chocolate and dark plum give way to a palate redolent in blackcurrant and dark red fruit flavours, all of which are underpinned by cedar-like oak."
Winemaker Julian Langworthy.
This premier wine is the result of a collaboration between The Wine Society and Moppity Vineyards, a five red star winery that has garnered praise from critics country-wide for its exceptional wines.
"Aromas of bright citrus, lemon and oyster shell with a touch of minerality on the palate, where rich characters of fig and white nectarine lead into a lemon sherbet acid tingle on the finish. A powerful yet restrained wine." Winemaker Jason Brown
