The grapes for this wine were sourced from the historic Roxburgh vineyard in the Upper Hunter Valley. Grafted onto 20 year Chardonnay rootstock the decision to trial Vermentino is certainly paying off as the 2018 vintage has a lovely aromatic nose with lifted tropical fruits and rosewater perfume, combined with a subtle herbaceousness. The palate is more typical Vermentino, with a crisp and linear acidity, leading to a mouth-watering finish.
An aromatic fruit driven nose of new season pear and white peach. The palate follows up with fresh pears, quince, white peach and light white florals, with refreshing acidity that helps balance the fruit weight for a nicely textured, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with good length.
This is a refreshing and lively Riesling with a wonderful balance of citrus and herbaceous aromas and flavours. Lemon and lime aromas are complemented by a hint of tropical fruit and fine dried herbs, which continue on the palate, while a good vein of acidity contributes freshness.
Light straw with a copper-pink hue. Ripe pear, citrus and nectarine on the nose, leading to a juicy, textured palate filled with flavours of nashi pear and hints of spice. A delicious underlying minerality and a refreshing finish.
The 1858 Semillon is the little brother to the iconic Tyrrell’s Vat 1 Semillon. Like the Vat 1, the 1858 comes from a selection of some of Tyrrell’s top Semillon vineyards in the Hunter Valley, with an average vine age of 40 years. It is fermented in stainless steel, giving it a lifted, fresh citrus nose with a zingy palate. Good for drinking while it is young, this wine goes really well with seafood and salad on a warm day.
Crafted by Jimmy Watson winner Julian Langworthy, this wine displays notes of stone fruit, oyster shell and spice. The palate is textured and complex with rich flavours backed by vibrant acidity. A wine of balance, elegance and incredible length.
Rich aromas of blackcurrant, chocolate and a touch of mint, this Clare Valley Cabernet displays a soft yet full-bodied palate of dark fruits, perfectly integrated oak and finishing with firm tannins.
"A deep red wine with purple hues. This cool-climate Limestone Coast Shiraz exhibits a peppery, spicy aroma, a savoury palate and smooth texture. The fruit is bright and bold. Fresh plums dance with spice, silky tannins and an elegant finish" Mike Farmilo, winemaker
