Treat yourself to the best of the wine world with benchmark wines of their region, varietal, style and vintage.
Distinctly Rockburn, quintessentially Central Otago. This is a very fine Pinot of grace and complexity. It’s spicy, savoury and fruity all at once, with dark cherry, mocha, balanced oak, and silky tannins peppered throughout. A wine to savour.
A robust Barossa blend brooding with rich red and black fruits, peppery spice and thick, chewy tannins. Not for the faint hearted.
Aromas of violets and glazed cherries are supported by hints of cedar, cassis and forest floor. The palate enters with fine-grained tannins and is followed by notes of bright raspberries and mulberries. A wonderful expression of Margaret River Cabernet from an exceptional vintage.
This is the fifth release for the Graillot Australia project, and the first since Luke Lambert joined the winemaking team. It is textured, refined and perfumed – a truly sophisticated Australian Syrah. It boasts complex notes of dried herbs and peppery spice, all wrapped in rich dark berry fruits.
This Sangiovese has an enticing bouquet of ripe plum, spicy vanillin oak and a whiff of smoked chestnut. The palate is rich in flavour with blackberry and forest fruit characters at the fore. Fine, dusty tannins enclose a mouth-filling palate, adding structure before leading into a generous finish.
This is the 12th release of Shiraz under the Mr Riggs label. Pristine aromas of dark berries with a hint of spice, tar and leather seamlessly continue on the palate with integrated oak. Ripe tannins provide structure and promise exceptional drinking with careful cellaring.
Lifted white peach and citrus aromas with hints of flint. On the palate intense layers of stone fruit and citrus flavours are backed by well-integrated oak characters and good acidity. Time spent in French oak and lees stirring has allowed the wine to develop into a complex and textural drop.
"The fragrant and flowery, talc and blossom-filled bouquet leads into a leisurely uncoiling palate of lime and lemon, with quite beautiful flavour, mouthfeel and balance. From the oldest riesling vines in WA. Still developing at a leisurely pace, and better than it was when first tasted in Mar '13." Halliday Wine Companion
Young and sophisticated, this wine boasts great intensity. There are layers of flavours; lemon and lime are complemented by notes of ripe quince and apricot on the palate. A good line of acidity holds the wine together, contributing balance, freshness and a long lasting finish.
