Perfumed aromas of blueberry and plum with hints of game and fresh herbs. The palate is soft and textured with layers of juicy berry fruits, lavender and exoitic spices, framed by smoky oak and silky tannins. A delightful wine with excellent depth of flavour and length.
A fragrant nose of dark berries, clove, oak and exotic spice. The fleshy
palate boasts ripe plum and dark cherry fruit, interwoven with earthy spice and subtle smoky characters. Time in French oak and smooth tannins provide great balance and length of flavour. A great wine to sit back and enjoy
“The fruit for this slinky pinot noir was harvested across two picking windows, the earlier to retain acidity and brightness of fruit, a challenge in this warm vintage. The outcome is a brooding, dark fruited Pinot Noir with an elemental streak of whole-cluster herb and twig, running through the mid-palate. The stems confer some crunchy tannins, too, reining in the flavours of cherry, wood smoke and rhubarb.” Halliday Wine Companion
“Dense but bright. Characterful. Iodine, blackberry, sweet cherry and a
slight, smoky infusion. Like smoked dried flowers. It’s not overtly tannic but there’s enough here to give the wine shape. It’s an easy wine to like, you’d have to say, but there’s also plenty to distinguish it. Different face of the Barossa.” Campbell Mattinson
Adelaide Hills red at its finest. Aromas of blueberry and cherry fruit with
hints of spice on the nose. The palate opens up to display an array of red fruits, pepper and spice interwoven to create a savoury core. Medium-bodied with ripe tannins and leads to a bright, long finish. An elegant but intense wine that will reveal more subtleties as it ages.
Deep in colour with brooding aromas of blackberry, plum, dried herbs,
liquorice and mocha. The palate is full-bodied with generous dark fruits supported by firm, rustic tannins. It is a wine of structure, depth and length that is crying out to be enjoyed at a barbecue with friends.
"It is tremendously intense and fragrant to sniff, with lovely apple-blossom aromas while the palate is very fresh and crisp with terrific natural acidity driving a fine but generously fruity palate. It is surprisingly accessible now. It will probably not be as long lived as the 2017 but will give pleasure immediately." Huon Hooke
Aromatic on the nose with aromas of nashi pear, kiwi, quince and floral notes. The palate is supple and delicate with flavours of lime, pear and
apricot with a lovely nuttiness on the back palate. Balanced by good natural acidity complemented by the structure and length from small amount of oak. A refreshing wine that calls for sunshine and people to share it with.
“Effortless to taste, yet there are so many layers to this: creamed honey,
lemon curd, ginger fluff cake, all manner of stone fruit and their skins plus a refined texture. There’s almost an overload of flavour but then the sparky acidity tucks in everything neatly.” Halliday Wine Companion
"Nashi pear, some spice and perfume, maybe something like brittle toffee? Juicy and plump, fine balance, creamy, a spread of ultra-fine powdery tannin keeps it trim, and there’s some other other stuff going on, not least a long finish with a hint of bitterness, yet never mind all that really: richness, with freshness, structure, and flavour is the import. So bloody good to drink." Gary Walsh
"Minimal oak use. A wine with very considerable power and presence, apricot, peach and fresh ginger combining on the back-palate with an almost savoury impact. There are no oily phenolics to mar this very interesting wine." Halliday Wine Companion
It has an intense bouquet of honey and verbena, rich in minerals and with a very sustained flavour. It has great flinty typicity and clear green-gold colour, subtle and elegant with plenty of power.
