"Plum, dark cherry jam, smoked spices, black liquorice. It’s medium to full bodied, quite ferrous and tannic, but fleshy and sweet fruited too – almost a black jellybean kind of flavour – with earth, black olive and sheets of tannin to close it out. It’s quite rugged, but I like it. Thoroughly regional." Gary Walsh

"Rustic appeal here. It's almost as though it's got the scruffed hair but clean pressed shirt look going on. Boysenberry and plum line up side by side. A kick of earth is met by smokey feels with a soft touch of tannin helping it along the way. Baking spices chime it at the death too lingering long - nice touch that. It's a damn easy slurp, that's for sure. The type of wine you'd take to a gathering of friends and be proud to share - and you'll win a few more friends for your trouble. Great stuff!" QWine Reviews

"A wash of frisky, cranberrylike fruit flavours, a touch of amaro, a dash of pepper in the lively finish. Sweet then gently pleasing bitter. Such fun stuff. Drink with gusto." Mike Bennie

"Estate-grown, matured in French oak for 17 months. Excellent colour; cigar box/cedary oak is the first out of the blocks on a medium-bodied palate; the fruit is relatively delicate, but its red berries are inviting, as are the freshness and length of the palate." Halliday Wine Companion

"Nashi pear, some spice and perfume, maybe something like brittle toffee? Juicy and plump, fine balance, creamy, a spread of ultra-fine powdery tannin keeps it trim, and there’s some other other stuff going on, not least a long finish with a hint of bitterness, yet never mind all that really: richness, with freshness, structure, and flavour is the import. So bloody good to drink." Gary Walsh

“The Xabregas Artisan Riesling has taken me on a real journey and all my members adore it. Wonderfully fresh and textural, this Riesling has been barrel fermented. Imagine an explosion of lemon and freshly cut finger limes with a creamy mid palate and a slate like minerality. Finishing bone dry with a bright acidity, this is my pick to accompany freshly shucked oysters and shellfish on a hot summer’s day. It’s a Riesling with real x-factor and finesse.” Kristelle Colling, Personal Wine Advisor
